The Paulaner Salvator with its strong, typically malty taste is called the original Paulaner. The double bottom fermented beer combines the finest hops and dark barley malt.
The Paulaner monks served Salvator of Lent as a meal replacement. The most famous brewer was Brother Barnabas, who took over the Paulaner brewery in 1773. His original recipe is still not changed. To protect the original, in 1896 Paulaner had the trade mark “Salvator” registered with the Patent Office.
